Accidents, injuries and painkillers, oh my!

So I was helping Johnny (chevydude90) move last night and I rolled my ankle hard while we were getting the mattress out to his truck. It was still hurting this morning, so I went into the clinic to get it x-rayed & make sure nothing was broken. The x-rays turned up clear, thankfully, but the doc on duty put me in a molded splint to minimize movement while the ankle heals. This is all well and good, but now I can't fit my shoe on that foot. Once I got home, I managed to find an old, stretched-out sock that I can wear over the splint, but that's about it for my foot protection for the moment.

On the plus side, I got a 'scrip for some nifty painkillers. I'm gonna hold off on those until I absolutely need 'em, though.

its spring, so most drug stores should have those velcro sandals in stock. that should work to cover the slpint till it heals. no use buying something expensive for temporary

Actually, I figured out that one of my rubber-soled slippers is big enough to go over the split. I look silly, but I have something between my foot and the ground, now :)
