Answers! (Part 1 of ?)
Mar. 6th, 2009 07:23 pmHere are the first couple of answers to questions from this post. They're semi-related, so I'm answering both at once.
martic asks: "Did you have fun on your vacation?"
harley asks: "When will you be back in town?"
Well, as you all may know, I visited Atlanta for about a week 2 weeks ago. I had fun, though I didn't do any sightseeing or anything; I mainly hung out with my hosts/friends at their apartment. They introduced me to a couple of their friends and I basically had a nice, relaxing, low-key visit with them. :-)
They're good guys and I enjoy visiting them. Sorry I didn't see you, Sean; I plumb forgot to check & see if you'd like me to come on over. Next time, I promise!

Questions?
Mar. 5th, 2009 02:35 pmOkay, so apparently March is Ask Me A Question Month on Livejournal. So, go for it. I'll answer anything I get asked on any topic. I'm not really expecting a lot (or any) questions, since I don't even know how many people actually read my journal anymore, but this looks like it could be fun.

Personality Quiz? Yeah right...
Jan. 6th, 2008 09:46 amSo here are some fun questions for ya:
1) If I won the mega-lotto and decided to pay all your bills for a year and give you $50,000 to quit your job and go do whatever you want during that year, what would you do?
2) If you could have any single superpower with total control over it, what would you choose?
3) If you could say any one thing to a specific person without any repercussions and they would have to listen, what would it be?
4) Is there anything you'd like to say to me, no repercussions?
5) Is Jem outrageous? Truly, truly, truly outrageous?

Give Thanks
Nov. 21st, 2006 02:30 pmI'm borrowing this from
fattastic because I think it's a very nice meme.
What are you thankful for this year? It doesn't matter whether it's something huge or small, but tell me what you're thankful for.
I'm thankful for the good friends I've made this year. I don't deserve you all.

Put your iTunes/Winamp/WMP on shuffle.
Say the following questions aloud, and press play.
Use the song title as the answer to the question.
( Musical Fortunes Await! )
Also, I just checked and I have 1238 audio files (songs and spoken pieces, etc.) which come to just under 80 hours of playtime. Wow.

Oct. 28th, 2005 01:08 pmI haven't done any quizes in quite a while (mainly because I dislike a lot of them), but these seemed amusing.

News Flash: I am the victim of a surprise attack by
harley. This unprovoked assault of shiny, heart-shaped balloons will not go unpunished. So I too shall fight an internet war of joy and fun.
I'm going to tag five people. I will attack them with a weapon of joy and/or fun, and they must then attack five people of their own choosing by posting their list in their journals. You may re-attack the person who attacked you if you wish, but you may only attack a particular person once per round (in other words, there must be five DIFFERENT people).
First shall be
harley, for he dastardly act cannot go unpunished. My weapon of choice? Dandelion fluff. Take THAT!
Unfortunately, while launching the counteroffensive against
harley, some of the other launch buttons were accidently mashed as well.
lysariala, please ignore the rain of koosh balls.
trollprincess, don't open the package marked "Novelty Rainbow Umbrellas".
aadroma, you are one of the most cunning linguists I know, but please don't eat any of the dulce de leche. Finally, please don't think ill of me for sending you the jewel-tone hummingbirds,
dfwteddybear.

( ...for politeness )
It's interesting how many of us use actual pictures of ourselves as our defaults.

Jun. 21st, 2005 07:35 pmName five things you enjoy, even when no one around you wants to go out and play. What lowers your stress/blood pressure/anxiety level? Make your list, post it in your journal, then tag five new people and ask them to post it to theirs.
1) Reading. I can curl up with a good book and be absorbed for hours.
2) Photography. Revealing the moments of unnoticed beauty that surround us and sharing them with others is a true pleasure.
3) Fiddling around with the computer. Not just computer games or chatting (although those are nice), but tinkering with the innards.
4) Storytelling. I have tons of ideas about stories, RPG systems, games, etc. I just have trouble getting them down on paper. :-Þ
5) Hanging out with friends. Just sitting and talking without purpose or watching TV or playing a game... I enjoy being around people.
I tag you,

Jun. 10th, 2005 07:48 amInteresting concept...
I hearby challenge everyone who reads this to write a 6-word short story.
"He died alone, mourning lost opportunities."
"Her eyes dimmed... At last, peace."
"New suns in new skies: Freedom!"

Jun. 7th, 2005 09:16 am1. What's the first word that comes to mind when you think of me?
2. Go to http://images.google.com/ and search for that word.
3. Reply to this post with one of the pictures on the first page of results (don't tell me the word).
4. Put this in your own blog so that I can do the same.
(and no, I'm not postponing going to the job fair. It's not for another 2 hours, so nyah! 8-Þ)
