Heroes 1.9: Homecoming
Nov. 21st, 2006 09:00 pmOkay, so the previouslies imply that Charlie actually IS going to be rescued by Hiro. Still dislike Mr. Previouslies, though
Oh, Lord, could that shot of the cheerleaders walking out of the tunnel look any more Bring It On? I started giggling. :-P Although I still think that Jackie the Credit-Stealer is going to be the cheerleader that Sylar kills.
HAH! Claire may be unpopular with the "cool kids" because she put JockRapist in the hospital... but that's the exact reason that the others all voted for her, methinks.
So Simone and Nathan know each other, then? I guess that's why she was at the party a few eps back. And I think that the painting he just trashed was the one with Peter TKing the locker doors.
Ooh! Jessica (ikiN) gets her own subtitle-name, now! I guess that she really has taken over completely for the time being. And she's just so happy about being the psychopathic nothing-gets-in-my-way killer that she is that it's actually kinda cute.
Um, DL? Micah doesn't want it to be just the two of you from here on out. If anything, he wants you and Niki back together. Fat chance, I know, but still.
So Simone DOES have a pcityure of the painting... and it looks like Peter's going to fall. :-( Unless it turns out that Sylar is Peter from the future (total speculation, byt the way). And Simone is obviously slowly accepting the whole "people with powers" scenario.
Did Ando's English just get worse? I don't get it. And that shrine to Charlie popped up awfully fast if this is the same afternoon as Hiro's time-travel.
Okay, so Radioactive Man goes fully Human torch, then? Nice to see Pusher Pixie start to grow a backbone too.
And yup, it looks like Mr. Bennet's going to try to keep Claire at home. Any bets on when (not whether, mind you) Claire sneaks out?
Aww... Big Gay Zack really is Claire's bestest buddy. :-) And The Book shows up yet again. I wonder if Claire will connect the symbol she had drawn on her book from the first or second episode to the same symbol on the cover of The Book.
WOO! Go, Claire! I mean, that punch really was long-coming to Cheerbitch.
Bennet must've been really grateful for Claire's punch giving him and excuse to keep her home. And that "you'll survive" line was great.
No, DL, you haven't discussed it. You've TOLD Micah. And here's Micah expositioning about Niki/Jessica and making DL feel as guilty as hell.
Um, Mohinder? I really don't think that you'll be able to find DreamChild just by waving around his photo in the bustling market--- Okay, so I was wrong. Way to plot contrivance there, writers. And like all good shamans, Dreamchild doesn't give a straight answer. :-P
Poor Ando... he's all alone and missing and worried about Hiro. But he spotted the picture, at last! "He popped out of her life weeks ago"? What do you wanna bet that that was when "Regular" Hiro started time-traveling?
::snerk:: Text-message window stones. I was so expecting Zack to tell Claire that his boyfriend was taking him to the dance. The parallels between the gay coming-out process and Claire's coming out of the "powers" closet is obvious, but interesting.
Peter got to Odessa pretty damn fast. And I'm really surprised that no-one was paying attention to them talking so loudly (ABOUT PEOPLE GETTING KILLED!!) in a crime scene.
Ha! Mrs. Bennet covered for Claire skipping out. She loves her daughter. :-) Mr. Bennet really should've been a bit more open with his family, shouldn't he've?
Okay, so Dreamchild is showing Mohinder more past-scenes. It looks like buddy prof tried this same "you're CRAZY!" speech on Papa Suresh. Now I have to wonder whether or not buddy prof is working for Bennet's OWI (Organization Without Initials).
"You don't have a heart of stone"? Somehow I think that Papa Suresh was protestething a bit too much.
Oh, Mohinder, honey, did you really think that Papa would leave that thing running without password-protection? Although using his daughter's name as the password really was a bit too easy to crack. Hmm... looks like Papa (and Sylar, by extension) had a list of names and places for a lot of the supers.
Peter's in the same trench he was wearing in the painting in his "locker-throwing" scene. And it's cute how he's trying to cheer up the real target while looking for the wrong one. Also, I really doubt that he gets killed this early... I mean, he DID just absorb some of Claire's regen. So it'll just be a temporary death. (I got better!) ;-)
Heeeeere's Sylar! Only he doesn't need an axe to take out a door.
Aww crap. Sylar may've thought that Cheerbitch was the super before, but I think he may've overheard Claire giving it up.
Gah. They actually startled me. And as much as I knew that Cheerbitch was gonna get it, she didn't deserve it. And now Sylar's pissed. But now that Peter's seen that Sylar is a super AND has been exposed to the power, things are about to get interesting. I wonder how the intersection of two powers is going to affect Peter.
Hmm... the original painting didn't show Sylar on the ground, just Peter. I guess Isaac's foretellings CAN be changed. Good news for the Don't Nuke New York crowd. Also, didn't one of the paintings have Ando and Hiro at the Homecoming as well? I guess that Hiro's time travel can screw with the foretellings as well. Maybe the interference caused by Hiro's time travel is the ONLY thing that can make the future change.
So Sylar disappeared. I guess the painting held true after all. And there's the copy-regen at work. Claire is so happy to find someone else like her, though. And she finally officially comes out to her father.
Pusher Pixie vs. Sylar... Mental control vs. physical control... I like this battle. And having Deep Cleaner immediately come in to wipe Sylar unconscious was a good team up.
We really should've seen it coming that Peter would get arrested as the killer. Just like Hiro was in the future.
Mama Suresh totally knew that Papa was right, didn't she?
I have to wonder whether or not DL has learned how to keep himself in a semi-phased state or not. It may be the only thing that could save his life.
Hiro is always so earnest. :-) I wonder exactly when he's going to realize that he went back too far.
Next: Next week looks like it'll be totally kickass. Even more than this week. I can't wait!
