Earlier this week, I got to experience what it feels like to have your flesh start to melt off your bones. I was accidentally exposed to a toxic agent that quickly attacked the flesh of my palms, but I was quick-thinking enough to realize what was happening and nuetralize it before any lasting damage could be done.
Okay. What REALLY happened is that I was killing some mildew in my bathroom with a diluted bleach solution, but I made 2 mistakes. One: I didn't dilute the bleach enough. Two: I forgot to wear gloves. I realize the first mistake when the mildew curls up and dies and the grout turns snow white before my eyes. I realize the second mistake when I go to rinse off the excess liquid and find that the texture of my hands is... waxy. I freak out while frantically scrubbing my hands with soap and water (lots and LOTS of water), but no lasting damage. Still an unnerving sensation, tho.
