The relative inaccuracy of this non-scientific survey has left me quite incredulous. However, I find my personal assignation to be quite apropos.

Yeah... That happened right around the time that I decided that the main-line Marvel books were too annoying to bother keeping up with.

Basically, the writer at the time decided to fuck the hell out of Marvel history by introducing "secondary mutations" which show up many, many years after the original expression of powers. Emma Frost gained the ability to turn into organic diamond (shades of Colossus, anyone?), Archangel's blood became some kind of omni-cure liquid, Iceman can't change back to human, Beast became cat-man, etc.

Essentially, the head writer (Grant Morrison?) whined "But I want them to do thiiiiis! ::stomps foot::"

I'm noticing a high end theme to this going on... as so many of my friends ended up with "Beast". I was equal with him and "Jean Grey". I think it was a repeated question that determined I was "jean" instead...lol.
