I woke up this morning with a hideously sore throat. I thought it was just allergies until I went to go take my daily meds and found that swallowing was *incredibly* painful. A quick mirror-assisted self exam revealed that my uvula (the dangly bit at the back of the throat) was red and swollen, and the back of my throat was red and raw-looking. I got some antibiotics that my dad was nice enough to call in, but I can barely talk or swallow.
Dear gods, I hope this goes away soon.
EDIT: Thankfully, the antibiotics are helping a lot. As of 8:45 PM CST, I can speak with pain, and swallowing is merely uncomfortable instead of painful. It looks like I should be (mostly) better by tomorrow evening.
