drewbearWell, this was a busy weekend.
My dad and I drove out to Longview Friday afternoon and helped my mother and sister finish packing up my grandmother for her move to the assisted living facility. I spent 3.5 hours putting together a Wal*Mart plywood entertainment center for the room and didn't get to bed until 1:30AM, and the thing still wasn't done! The next morning I went over to the facility early (around 9) and finished putting together the unit in time for everyone else to arrive with all of Grandma's stuff that was getting moved. Surprisingly (and pleasantly) we had everything moved in and unpacked by noon. I hung around until around 2, then came back as there was nothing else I could do for my grandmother.
Yesterday, after seeing a tutoring student on short notice, I met up with some friends of mine and went over to the Fort Worth Gay Pride Parade. It was nice, but short; it only lasted about 35-40 minutes and I was told that was long for this parade. Afterwards we went over to the fair they had over near one of the local bars and had a pretty good time for a few hours. I bought a couple of "bear" t-shirts that I like and will wear for pictures soon. We then headed over to Kevin & Fernando's house and watched "But I'm a Cheerleader", which is a funny movie (just in case you haven't seen it yet).
All-in-all, this was a decent weekend, other than the sunburn.
