I was driving with a friend someplace, and there was a guy with a sign at the stop light that we were at. I had some extra bucks, so when we pulled up next to him, I gave him what I had.
My friend then began to berate me for doing it. Similar to the "Big Guy at Wendy's", he proceeded to lecture me about how the guy was going to buy drugs and was a complete waste of space....
Now let me give you some background on my friend... At this point, I had known him like a month... and he wasn't all that well to do either. In fact, I had just drove him to a Western Union where we picked up a money transfer from someone whom he knew online. My friend had no money and couldn't afford to buy his own medicine, so an online friend, he never met in real life, was kind enough to give him money so that he could stay healthy...
After he said that shit about how the guy that I had given a couple of bucks to was going to use it for something else, I replied "Well, you know, if I was sick and couldn't afford to pay for my insulin, I would hope that someone in the world would help me out... Oh wait, didn't that just happen to you?!"
Needless to say, he shut up.
