I'm still trying to figure out how they knew that it was a crime scene. I mean, that was a lot of police unless they had warning that there was an armed lunatic there. Methinks Sylar (spelling?) knew that Hiro would be there and tipped off the cops.
As for Sylar/Claire, I agree that he'll probably have an insanely difficult time in "absorbing" her. Considering how quickly she recovered from an apparently broken neck, I don't think that he'd be able to get her skull disassembled fast enough.
