I just flipped on the tv for a second and found myself in the middle of Loonatics. Remember this thing? The "reimagining" of classic characters like Bugs, Daffy, Road Runner and Taz into, well, generic superpowered characters in a generic superhero/futuristic action cartoon. It's just stupid! I tried to watch it and the producers are really, really trying to use some of the old WB funny music over these boring, routine "action" sequences. The writing is bland, the characters are stupid, it's... I can't go on anymore, I think my eyes are starting to bleed.

Date: 2005-10-29 06:24 pm (UTC)I think MOST of the attempts to adapt Looney Tunes in more recent times have been ill-advised and just painful to watch. I'm sorry, but Space Jam was atrocious and was desperately trying to be like old times without any of that wit.
