My glasses just broke, at the joint where the earpiece joins the body. I think the internal spring that lets it adjust to the size of your head snapped. Of course, I've had these frames for well over 5 years, maybe closer to 10, so it's not *that* unheard of. It's just damned annoying, especially since I'll have to get completely new lenses as well as new frames. I don't *want* to shell out $200 right now, thanks. I'm alerady spending $400 on the car to keep it from crashing.
::sigh:: Time to dip into savings again.
EDIT: I just made a splint out of a broken matchstick and duct tape to reinforce the joint until I can get a new pair. Behold my geekiness.
EDIT 2: Probably won't be recapping TAR tonight, since I'm already getting a little headachy from the uneven lenses. My mom's taping it for me, though, and I'll watch as soon as I can see.
