First, this is A) late and B) disjointed because my net connection failed about 6:30 and I wrote this inbetween my efforts to get it back up.

EDIT, second hour: I'm back! Apparently ZoneAlarm hates the internet now. I've been having problems with it ever since the most recent update. According to the ZA forums, apparently so has everyone else. God knows why the latest build is fubared, but that how it goes. It's off until further notice.

So they're starting in New York again. I ilke that they're starting from the statue of Liberty; it's a nice touch.

Gaggin' (yeah, I know it's not spelled like that)? Now, I'm impressed that she can run a 7-minute mile. But I'm still disturbed that both LITTLE kids are so... Colin-esque.

yeah, the younger brother couldn't be more bored.

The black family needs to lose the matching red-white-and-blue tie-dyed shirts NOW. And I think that "they'll underestimate us" needs to become a banned phrase.

Why does he let his daughters call him by his first name?

And the widow & orphans. I feel sorry for them, but it feels gimmicky to me.

Snother couple of into-run spills. Nobody got hurt this time, tho.

Interesting. Their first task is to pick up supplies. Were they specifically told to not bring their own?

And man, people are obsessing over their placement this early? Not only have they not left the first city, they haven't even made it to the first TASK. Save the worry for later, folks.

Dear lord. THREE backseat drivers.

So this is the "do you know your right from your left" segment, I take.

Okay, so they're not actually buying the equipment, they're just picking it up. That's good, considering that $150 probably couldn't outfit one of them at that place, much less all four.

Find a "frank". Clever. Sorta. More clever than a lot of the "clues" have been in recent seasons. Also, Kevin & Drew from season 1!

Pennsylvania? So are they going to stay in the US, then? Maybe just North America.

Watching a flag-folding and then crossing the Delaware is actually pretty neat.

And the over-achieving little boy (Gaggin' family) yells "I'm gonna do it" in a very Colin-esque manner before even checking to see if it's a Roadblock or not. Not. A. Good. Sign. Shall I dub him mini-Colin?

Setting up a campsite is now a task? I'm somewhat disappointed.

"Don't let it touch the water, honey. It's sacriligeous. Or something." Hee!

I repeat: the Black family needs to lose the coordinating shirts. I am sorry that they got caught in the current, however. This really wasn't a good task for kids, considering the lack of strength.

So the abrasive Italian family is already succumbing to the Illiteracy Demon. Reading is FUNdamental, kids!

Rain always puts everyone in a foul mood.

Wow. So far, the all male teams are annoying the crap outta me.

Mini-watermills vs. buggies? Both options are tres magnifique!

Random cow-shot.

The Amish are coming. The Amish are coming!

Oh god! Being in a runaway cart is scary! They look okay, but that's definitely not a good time.

Oh god part 2! I didn't realize that Mom got run over by the buggy!

So the handbrake continues to confound all.

Wait... are all the teams color-coding themselves? Or is the color-control on my TV out?

Another cow-shot.

Except for the boy, I kinda like the Gaggin's. Little boy's really getting on my nerves, though.

Okay, the Blacks got out of those damn shirts. Thank goodness.

For a change of pace, here's a GOAT shot.

::snerk:: I like the little girl Gaggin'.

The Linzes bother me. They're just... cocky. And not as all-that as they think they are.

They're really pushing the Mennonite/Amish angle while they're in PA, aren't they?

Daddy Paolo seems like a real prick.

Btw, the guy in charge of verifying the watermills is hot. Can I have a bucket of him, to go, please? ;-)

It appears that build-it actually was much, much better than buggy-it.

...The Linzes. LAUGHED. At their brother throwing up from the physical exertion. They're dead to me.

Pink Sister Googleoosky (or whatever), I'm glad your heart is beating, dear. It means you're not dead.

A beard without a mustache just looks weird to me. And cash is the first-leg prize again. Why is that?

::snerk:: You could totally tell that Mama Gaggin' just barely avoided cussing in front of her kids.

The Weaver son needs to avoid the bleach in the future. His hair looks like straw to me. Un.Healthy.

Did Sister Linz not take any turns at pulling/pushing the buggy?

God. ALL of the Paolos are pissy. I don't like any of them. At all. And Mama's already breaking down. Maybe this is a good place for them to quit/lose.

Yeah, the Linzes are wimps, one and all.

Yet another random cow shot. This one's crossing the brook, though. Poor Son Black Number 1, but seeing his dad pick him up and swing him out with one hand was kinda cool.

I really hope that the Blacks are the ones to make it. The Linzes took longer at that task than any other family, I think.

Footrace!

DAMN!!! The Lazy Linzes made it over the Blacks! And they shouldn't wear pumpkin/orange any more. It doesn't look good on them. Of course, neither does barely not failing success.

Next Week: The Paolos keep freaking out on each other. Bodies are flung around. Papa mumblemumble can't keep up with his daughters.

Also? TAR SEASON 1 IS COMING OUT ON DVD!!!!!
