So I was helping Johnny (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
chevydude90) move last night and I rolled my ankle hard while we were getting the mattress out to his truck. It was still hurting this morning, so I went into the clinic to get it x-rayed & make sure nothing was broken. The x-rays turned up clear, thankfully, but the doc on duty put me in a molded splint to minimize movement while the ankle heals. This is all well and good, but now I can't fit my shoe on that foot. Once I got home, I managed to find an old, stretched-out sock that I can wear over the splint, but that's about it for my foot protection for the moment.
On the plus side, I got a 'scrip for some nifty painkillers. I'm gonna hold off on those until I absolutely need 'em, though.
