Apr. 11th, 2005 12:23 pmI'm home for lunch, so this is just a quick update.
The potential roommate is going to be coming by to check out the apartment tomorrow, at which point I'll interview him to see if I can get along with him. I therefore need to finish cleaning the apartment, but I'd say that's a less than 30 minute job at this point.
A woman is coming by this evening after I get off work to check out the Saturn and she's serious about buying, since she offered to pay in cash. Now I just need to find one of those "test for conterfeits" pens like the bank has. :-) If she falls through, I have 10 other messages on my answering machine I haven't had a chance to listen to yet, so I suspect that, one way or another, this thing'll be gone before the end of the week. Yay, money!!
Last night I went over to the parents' house to celebrate my Dad's birthday and watch Supervolcano with them on The Discovery Channel. It was co-produced by the BBC and Discovery, so unlike a lot of disaster movies, the science behind the movie was actually sound. Some of the acting was a little forced, but overall it was a good movie. I enjoyed it, even if I was going "You all so dead!" most of the movie.
I'm still looking for a new job, but aside from jobs that pay less than I'm getting right now, the market is really bad. Of course, I work two PT jobs instead of a full-time, so I'm willing to take a wage cut if I'm working FT. Based on my expenses and my desire to be able to sock away rainy-day money, I figure that I need to be making $10/hr or more. Wish me luck, people!
