Phase One: Complete!
Jan. 6th, 2005 06:42 pmWell, we're finally moved completely out of the old apartment. The keys have been turned in, the utilities have been shut off or transferred, the mail has been forwarded, and we spit on the property as we left. Good times... :)
Now we're working on Phase Two: Unpacking.
lysariala has almost all of her stuff in her rooms, even if it's still in boxes, but about half my stuff is out in the living area because I need some new furniture before I can start putting stuff away. Namely: a new computer desk, some bookshelves, and some kind of linen rack for the bathroom.
Also, due to the miracle of efficient bureaucracy, the DSL at the new place isn't going to eb on until the 10th, despite my being previously told that it would be on today. Thank the gods that my parents are willing to let me use their computer.
Also, my car is still running, which is a miracle in and of itself, but it won't stand up to the traveling I need to do for my tutoring lessons this weekend, so I'm car-hunting tomorrow and possibly on Saturday. I've already got a car loan pre-approved by my credit union, now I just need to find the car.
Anyhoo, this weekend should see some massive improvement on the homefront, and I hope to find you all well. Hugs for everyone!
