Today I took my car to the mechanic's because it was making this expensive-sounding metal-scraping-on-metal sound and I wanted it taken care of. About 30 minutes ago I got a call back and the news is as such: aside from the Bad Sound(TM), they found so many systemic or major parts that are about to fail that the repairs would cost more than the car is worth.
So now I need to go car shopping. Oh fucking joy.
