Not a good morning so far.
My apartment complex is technically gated, but the gates haven't worked in literally months, and they haven't bothered to fix them since they had construction crews in and out fixing up the complex. However. The construction is finally completed (for now), so the complex managers have decided to get the gates back into working order. Unfortunately, they're only giving out 1 gate card per apartment, and while
lysariala still has hers, I can't find mine. Like I said, it's been months since I needed it, and I've cleaned out my wallet since then. And because our file shows that we already have a gate card, and I'm the only leaseholder (sis is listed as an "occupant"), they won't give me another card unless I pay $30 bucks for it. What fun.
Secondly, I have a new student today whom I'm going to be running 2 lessons a weekend for the next month. I don't have the materials I need to tutor him, and the Fort Worth branch office isn't sure whether they have any in stock I can pick up. And when I called my supervisor in Dallas this past week and told her that I was missing some of the teacher's edition material for these lessons, she all but accused me of lying. Joy.
Now I need to get my oil and water changed before I go out driving again, before my engine explodes. More money down the drain. How thrilling.
And I don't even want to know why the apartment smells vaguely of cat.
