Well, I did my CPR recertification today, and I'm now refreshed on how to keep people from dieing. I feel slightly godlike. Not a big god, mind you, but a small one. Maybe Carnea, Goddess of the heart and other organs. Or maybe one of the sons of Horus who guarded the canopic jars.

Yes, I am a mythology geek.

In other news, Fernando's birthday was Sunday, but today is the first chance I've had to see him. I'm baking him a cake as a belated gift. Well, that and I enjoy baking. I'm off to get floury now.

Okay, livejournal's being a butt.

Aside from the more than a month old comments which I'm just now receiving (like everyone else), something's screwed up with the main page. It used to be that I had little pull-down menus that I could use to update my journal, check my friends filters, edit my user info, etc., but all the submenu stuff is gone. I'm writing this update through my userinfo page, which I had to access from my public journal page. I understand that apparently one of the server clusters is undergoing maintanence, which is blocking some users from posting although they can still see their journals, but I updated earlier today, and I have no explanation for what's going on right now.

I'll probably delete this entry later, but for the moment, I'm a little ticked off.
