I'm off work today and although my car needs to be worked on, the garage I take it to says that they're backed up until next week. I made an appointment to take my car in Tuesday morning at 7:30AM (*blech*) and hopefully I'll have the car back that day. So since I don't want to put much/any more wear-and-tear on the car until it's seen, I spent most of the day at home. Being bored (there's only so much you can do online before your eyes start bleeding), I decided to turn some of my pics into backgrounds. Here they are! Feel free to take for your own personal use, just please let me know if you do. Also note that all of them were cut/framed/whatever to (mostly) fit my 1024x768 resolution, but I'd be willing to resize one if you want. Enjoy!

Oh god, that was gross. I was rinsing the dinner dishes and heard something in the cabinet underneath the sink. I looked and the disposal engine casing was leaking, and had apparently been leaking for at least a few weeks, since the stuff under it was badly water-damaged or rotting. I scooped out nasty water into a bucket, and ended up with about 3 INCHES of brown water. This is a dark green bucket, so the water has to be pretty damn nasty to be visibly brown in there. *shudder* I called the apartments' maintanence crew, and the guy told me that he'll be over sometime tomorrow, and to not use the sink in the meantime.

I am so scrubbing and bleaching the floor as soon as the sink is fixed.

Believe me, I am NOT complaining, but when did kilts start becoming popular in the US? I've been seeing a lot of men, both online & off, both gay & straight, sporting them. And they're not just wearing them at renfaires and Celtic/Irish/Scottish festivals. Utilikilts, Amerikilts (thanks booboobob!), traditional kilts...
