Last night was pretty fun. My mother and younger sister set up the house with tons of candles and Harry Potter signs and stuff. It was Mom, Katie, Sara & Mikey and me. We made Butterbeer (cream soda, vanilla ice cream, butterscotch flavoring and a dash of cinnamon), played a couple of games (I won a ger-nome!) and watched Philosopher's Stone. Our friend Greg called me and told me that the local comic/gaming shop was having a HUGE sourcebook, game and toy sale ($1 apiece or 75% off!) so we went over there around 9 to go "schoolbook shopping". :-P Mikey and Sara bought about $1500 worth of stuff for under $200. I only got 7 sourcebooks myself (for $7.48 including tax), but their cover price value was probably around $120-$140.

I didn't buy a copy of Half-blood Prince myself because I plan to read Katie's copy when she's done with it around midweek. Still, a fun night.

Goddamnit, was yesterday the Lonestar Comics sourcebook sale?

AAAARGHHHHHHHH.

So much D20 and D10 at my fingertips and I was blissfully ignorant.

::sigh::

From what I understand, the sale's going on this entire weekend, so it may not be too late. Keep in mind that the signal:noise ratio is pretty low if you're looking for anything in specific. On the other hand, I unexpectedly found 4 sourcebooks for a system that's gone out of business. I hate its mechanic, but the support material is first-rate.
