Apr. 16th, 2005 08:52 pmWell. Isn't that... odd.
As you know, I've been looking for a roommate since
lysariala moved out to live with her almost-husband at the beginning of the month. My advertising efforts only resulted in one legitimate response and that guy hasn't called back since Monday, so I'm guessing that he's foudn alternate accommodations. Well, about 6:30 I got a call from a long-time friend. He and his lover of more than 5 years are breaking up and he needs someplace to move into, pretty much immediately. Having known him for years, I have no problem with living with him, barring any annoying habits I don't know about. He's coming over tomorrow to see what space there is and there's a good chance that he'll be doing a final move-in by next weekend.
I'm glad that my roommate situation is being resolved (I really like this place and don't want to move if I can help it), but I'm sorry that it's the result of two people I know and like being in pain.
