I missed the Red Carpet stuff because I can't stand the miscegnated offspring of a harpy and a troll that is Joan Rivers. But here're my impressions of the actual show.

Wait, did I hear that right? They're making Catwoman 2!?!? ::sigh:: The Apacralypse is upon us, isn't it?

You know, I like that hair color on Renee Zellweger, but the cut is completely unflattering. Not to mention her constantly pinched face; it looks like she's trying to smile while sucking on a lemon.

And having the nominees on stage is just as awkward as expected.

Well it's about damn time that Morgan Freeman won.

Exactly why are they going to commercial on the Star Trek: Next Generation theme?

Wow. Robin Williams had exactly ONE decent joke in his mini-monologue. He was just really reaching for most of it.

The Incredibles better win. It was head-and-shoulders above every other animation released this year. Music, stylistic elements, characters, plot, it had everything in spades.

YAY! Edna Brad Bird gave a really nice acceptance speech, didn't he?

I'm not sure about the color, but Cate Blanchette's dress looks good on her.

Admittedly, I don't speak French, but Beyonce really sounds beautiful. The backup choir is pretty good too. Too bad her dress is so hideous.

Oh dear sweet Gods in Heaven above! EDNA!!!! Gimmicky, of course, but so fantastic! Damn I wish I had an Edna icon right now.

Shit. I'm getting this through broadcast TV and my antenna just decided to go on strike. I'm gettin' nuthin off nuthin'. Shit.

I only have broadcast YV with rabbit ears - yes - you read me right.
The normally clear chanel was kinda snowy last night - so everyones outfit was covered in a light dusting of fuzz.

Yeah, I'm on rabbit-ears too. And the reception locally sucks normally, but last night it was worse than usual. Hence the antenna crap-out.
