TAR 6 Finale

drewbearWell, here we are at the season finale. We forgot the uninteresting Jewboys of New Joisey, we witnessed the extreme incompetence some best friends are capable of, we saw a father weep over the horrors of history then try to get drunk on weak (but tasty!) beer, we watched one of the most unintentionally funny couples wrestle at every opportunity, we endured the "comedy" (abusive) "stylings" (horrorshow) of the worst Race contestants ever (EVER!!), and we're left with 4 teams to go. Who will win? Who will lose? Who will trip and fall on his/her face right before the Amazing Bathmat? Stay tuned and find out!!
Kendra? A word of advice for journeys past and future: ClassY does not equal classIST. Choose which one you want to be.

Why does it look like Aaron is always biting his lip to keep from talking whenever Hayden is speaking?
Yeesh. A 17-hour train ride? Well, it'll give 'em a chance to catch up on sleep, I guess.

Hayden, honey? Don't scare the nice Chinese baby. It's the only one it's parents are allowed to have and they (the parents) probably don't want it to be scarred by a foreigner quite this early in its life.
Hee! "She's a good driver?" in a Minneweagan accent, in China. It's like something out of Lake Woebegon.
Okay, this is just ridiculous; they get bunched right out of the box by a multi-hour wait for a train, then once they get to their destination, they have to wait for several more hours until the place opens! The massive and omni-present bunching has distracted and detracted from the Race this entire season and I'm sick of it. The PTBs were obviously trying to create more of a sense of urgency and suspense/drama, but it backfired. Why should anyone, Racers or viewers, care about time until after the last challenge? ::sigh::

Oooh! The Terracotta Warriors of Xi'an! I'm glad that they're visiting such an impressive site; I just hope that they appreciate it.

I have a feeling that the "must be done before the last gondola leaves at 7PM" thing is going to become a significant limitation here. That's a butt-load of locks.

Wow. I'm glad that there were instructions for getting a replacement key, but I'm sorry they had to be used; Hayden's day has been bad enough without it getting worse. I'm fairly sure that today she's burnt off most, if not all, of her bad karma.
Next level? Jon, my dear, you're so far ahead (level-wise) that the two of you have restarted and are looking for the Easter Eggs now. Lemme know when you find that secret level with the extra life, okay? I think it's after the third boss fight.
Oh.... the timing there.... that coincidence.... Poor Hayden. She needs a sandwich and a good long nap. I hope you feel better, Hayden! This leg was just too much.
OH MY GOD!! Aaron just earned a nomination for Best Boyfriend, just for turning this from Hayden's Worst Day Ever to her Best Day Ever. Despite any problems I may have had with them over the season, they do love each other, and proposing was a wonderful thing to do. And he obviously meant to do this from the start, since he had the ring with him. I hope the two of them are really happy together in their married life.

I know that there's a law against booking your international flight at the airport, but I wonder why? That makes things really awkward, doesn't it? And it doesn't make much sense since they can book the seats from the hotel.

Only an hour to get to the airport and on the flight before it leaves? That's cutting it awful close, what with checking in and security checks and such.

I guarantee that at least half the exuberance the Racers are feeling is due to being back in an English-speaking country.

Okay, based on indicated flight arrival times, Adam&Rebecca are at least 90 minutes behind everyone else. I doubt that they'll catch up without bunching. So they'll catch up at the next challenge.
Freddy really is quite (unintentionally) funny at times, isn't he? I wonder how many more ways he could've found to pronounce that name?

Oh, that's RIGHT. Because they took that Fast Forward way back when, they missed a Roadblock. So they actually had a choice of who would do this last one. Neat, I guess. And Adam finally seemed not-afraid of a task!
Btw: wind-tossed hair horns are actually less attractive than regular hair horns.
30 minutes is a pretty significant lead if it's in the final city. Hey, last year, 10 minutes was enough for Chip&Kim to win in Dallas.
Did Kendra take the time to do her makeup? When and why?

And Cab-Luck finally works out in Kris&Jon's favor!
"I don't eat tomatoes"?! DUDE!! For a million bucks, you eat whatever they put in front of you!
Oh, nertz. That train was just the last straw, wasn't it? I think that Freddy&Kendra were too far ahead anyway, but Kris&Jon would've been able to give 'em more of a run for their money. Literally, actually.

Of course I wanted Kris&Jon to win, but if I had to choose between Freddy&Kendra or Adam&Rebecca, I'd go for Freddy&Kendra. At least Freddy seems like a somewhat normal person. None of the other three do.
Well, that's it, ladies and gentlemen. We laughed, we cried, we screamed at the TV. Tune back in in 3 weeks when Season 7 begins!
