autotune is both painful and offensive to me. as a singer it makes me angry that people get paid to cop out professionally.

Believe me, I understand how much autotuning can be "cheating" and I agree for the most part. However, I think that it *can* be a useful tool when it's deliberately used to make the voice(s) audibly different to construct a new instrument. Daft Punk is a good example of that.

Plus, these guys are doing it for the humor value, which helps a lot. :-P
