Picnickage & 4 Eyes Redux

drewbearToday I went to a picnic at Umstead State Park with some friends and had a really good time. The weather was good and we grilled some burgers, kebabs, and hotdogs. Everything was really enjoyable and I'm glad I went. Of course, I was mostly blind the entire time because my temp fix for the glasses failed, but what's a little loss of visual acuity between friends?

ncsapphirebear) suggested that I try going back to Walmart to see if they had another set of the frames that my lenses could be transferred to, so after the picnic we went. It took a while for the lady at the optical center to get a hold of anyone at the Walmart I got the glasses from originally, but after some searching through the system and in her backstock, she found a pair! So I'm out $52 for the frames, but have wearable glasses now! After I get a new 'scrip, I'm going to order some glasses from Zenni Optical and use these current ones as backups. So while I'm not glad that my glasses broke, I'm happy that I was able to get this whole rigamorale settled fairly quickly and relatively inexpensively.
