Heroes 1.18: Parasite
Previously: Sylar joined forces with Mohinder, Papa Bennet sacrificed himself for Claire, Isaac shot Simone
The semi-focus they used on that Simone-POV of Peter was very, very well done.
Hiro is finally starting to show some of the spine that we kinda saw in his future self. Too bad he's not quite channeling it correctly yet.
And the shades of grey theme continues with Papa Bennet. OWI is a firm believer of testing to destruction, isn't it. Poor Bennet. Poor Matt. Poor Ted.
Whoa. Haitian Sensation is taking Claire out of the country? She's losing everything: first friendship, then faith, then family and now she's literally losing the ground she stands on.
YES! Nathan's a mole for the Feds to get Linderman! So! Very! Cool! Talk about making up for the sins of the father!
The thing is, I think that Nathan is the better hero, because he lets his emotions temper but not overwhelm nor mandate his reason.
OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! MAMA BENNET'S IN ON THE SECRET!
Bennet's new super partner is a bitch, apparently. And pretty obvious about the surveillance, at that.
Wow. Mohinder's not as stone-stupid as he was pretending. Good for him! I do wonder how he plans to keep Sylar under control, what with the vast multitude of powers Sylar has at his disposal.
Hmm. The soft-focus cam reappears for Sylar, like it did for Peter. Nice subtle visual tie. Quite a pair of parasites.
Nathan and Hiro make a good team, strangely. They temper each other in both personality and methods.
So "Vivian" is a Canadian tourist to NYC, is she? I wonder where Claire learned to pick pockets like that? She's damn good at being naughty, though.
So Candice(?) is a shapeshifter? Or is she an illusionist? I'm guessing illusionist from the warping effect around her.
I am not at all surprised that Niki/Jessica is kick-ass at a fighter video game. And apparently Niki's been coming out to play to try to get DL to take the hint. Looks like he is, too.
Curare? Oh, hot damn, Mohinder is fucking hardcore, y'all! I have to admit, Mohinder's damn good at exploiting Sylar's physical/super weaknesses. Sylar's pretty damn good at exploiting psychological ones, though. Nice to see that Mohinder's self-aware enough to not fall for it.
Well, Hiro's finally in the gallery. It looks like there's a copy of the New York Nuke there as well? I thought that was a floor-only mural? And Ando was actually of some use! Holy wow, but this storyline is finally wrapping up nicely.
I have to agree with Jessica: running surveillance on a man from within his own facility really is both tacky and arrogant. Isn't SOP to have the surveillance center offsite, anyway?
Looks like Sylar isn't hiding his little psychotic moddswings any more. Aw crap. Looks like the curare wore off. I really hope that Mohinder manages to break the computer before Sylar gets a hold of The List, but we all know that's not really gonna happen. :-(
Interesting... the montage of Isaac searching through his Simone works, leading up to the re-introduction of the smack. Which, in turn, led to him painting his own death. Poor Isaac.
Niki's getting stronger. Nathan doesn't trust her, though, which is all-in-all a wise instinct on his part.
Oh, I saw this reveal as soon as Mama Bennet seemed too accepting. They're all going to die, aren't they?
Well, Hiro figured out how to take other people with him. His aim still sucks, but he's progressing.
So... Mama Petrelli was the one pulling those strings? Oh, I love the First Family of Heroes!
Malcolm MacDowell is Linderman? Oh, this show manages to get the absolute best actors on cast, doesn't it?
This is Nathan's temptation. His deal with the devil. Oh, poor, poor Nathan.
Peter's not terribly observant, is he? But hey, his bangs of doom are finally gone and I bet that's how Peter gets his scar. I wonder whether Peter will be able to heal faster than Sylar can cut.
There are no words adequate to properly explain how truly awesome in all aspects this show is.

I think that she was the one who first found the Haitian and planted him in OWI for her own purposes. And she obviously knew about Claire's survival when neither of the parents did. The woman is seriously hardcore. Nice to see where Claire gets it from. :-)
