I tend to leave my email notifications of LJ comments in my account for a while, but I just went through them and deleted old, unnecessary ones. I got rid of about 100 from last November to now, and since I have to read them again to see if I want to keep them (a useful in-comment link or some-such), I find the most interesting tidbits that I'd forgotten about. It's like archaeology of my online life.
