Dec. 16th, 2004 03:58 pmI did a sleep study thing last night to check out the reason for my snoring and daytime drowsiness. According to my roommate (who sleeps two rooms away), I snore incredibly loudly. The nurses at the sleep lab confirmed this, saying that they actually had to turn down the mike because I was so loud. Of course, they also said that I sounded something like a bear growling, which is kind of amusing. I don't think I slept as well as I usually do because I kept waking myself up when I would accidentally tug on the monitor wires, but I don't know how that will affect the study results. (btw, with all the leads on I looked like some science experiment gone hideously wrong)
Anyway, I won't get the results back until I see the doc in 2 weeks. It's probably sleep apnea, but I hope that I can control/eliminate it by dropping some weight. It's a pretty strong motivation to finally resume exercising.
