Apr. 26th, 2004 07:49 amI'm an idiot.
I heard & read so many great things about City of Heroes, and I thought it sounded so cool, that when I bought the pre-order, I forgot the most important part of buying software: Check The Specs. It turns out that my Pentium II is too slow for even the minimum recommended requirements, and I can't really afford the $150-$200 dollars it would take to get a newer one. So while I'm upset that I won't be able to play the incredibly cool-looking game, I also realized that I won't have my free time totally absorbed by it either. 'Cause really, knowing myself, I'd enter the game and never come out. And at least I'm only out the $10 the pre-order cost.
In other news, my mother & I went to the annual UTA Glass Sale last Wednesday, and I got my pics back yesterday evening. Got the Kodak pix-on-disk option too, which gave me really high-quality, but large, digital photos. I'm shrinking some of 'em down, and they'll be put up for public consumption later today or tommorrow.
