First, adore and worship my new TAR icon!
And as is now my wont, TARbits with Drew:
I said it last week and I'll say it this week: I'm severely not liking the right-outta-the-Pitstop bunching.
Every word that Adam & Rebecca say just reinforces the image of Adam as a 3-year-old with a growth hormone problem.
Arguing over $ this early in the race/leg? Not a good sign. :-/
See people, this is why you sleep right outside the place whenever possible.
Fear. Riiiiiight. The other teams aren't going to be feeling fear, Jonathan; they're going to be feeling relief that you're not on a flight with them.
OMG! It's an actual-factual, figure-it-out CLUE!! Isn't it wonderful!
Considering how easily the other teams seemed to find English-speakers, I have to wonder how many Senegalese were pretending to not understand Jonathan just to watch the vein in his forehead throb.
Adam? Suck it. The world isn't all like the US, and if you'd watched ANY past seasons of TAR, you'd have at least an inkling of what to expect.
Hm. I'm not sure if she was speaking Spanish or French when she said "competesion" (phonetic), but it's actually not that bad an idea. As I recall, one of the primary languages of Senegal is French.
Okay, so quick recap during the commercials: One team doesn't even know who they're looking for, one team is at the gas station undergoing unknown car-upgrades, and one team has suffered a tire blowout. And none of them are Jonathan/Victoria. ::sigh::
Geez! Did these people learn nothing from Colin's near-arrest? Pay. Your. Cabbies.
Hee! Everyone's being so secretive about finding the "pot" clue. I understand why, but it's just so cuuuute!
How, exactly, did Jonathan/Victoria manage to find and keep a Fern? Did they pay him or something?
Given the high uncertainty of actually fishing and my utter lack of 1337 f15|-|i|\|G SkIlLz, I'd go for stacking. I'm reasonably sure that I could stand the smell.
I feel sorry for all the sea-sickies. Even if you're not normally prone to it, being in a small, wildly moving boat will do it.
Y'know, if it's surrounded by dunes of salt and it has enough suspended minerals to be visibly pink? I'm pretty sure that Loch Rose is completely sterile.
Criminy! I bet noone on the Race ever thought that they'd be fishing for salt. Neat task, though.
"Maybe it's blood in the water"? Do you have any idea how many people or animals would have to be bled out every day to turn a lake pink?
Aaaaand it's the obligatory wet t-shirt shot.
I know that each member can only do 6 Roadblocks, but why are so many of the women doing this obviously strength-based task? (I mean no offense ladies, but it's a fact that on average men are stronger than women.) EDIT: Sorry, I forgot that the clue was "Who wants to bathe in rose water?" You could tell that it had to do with the lake, but there's nothing to indicate the fact that high strength would be a good thing.
Poor Don. :-( At least his vomitting attracted fish.
Adam needs a Sugar Daddy to take care of him and treat him like the pretty, pretty princess that he so desperately wants to be.
... Just sayin'
1.618... 1.618... I feel like I should know the significance of that number, but I can't think of it.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Jon/Vicky got their stuff locked in the trunk & it cost them the early ferry! It couldn't have happened to a nicer couple. By which I mean, a nicer couple wouldn't have had the karma that made that happen.
Hee! Rebecca called Adam on his "girly" tendencies. "I don't want to keep dragging around my girlfriend", indeed! (emphasis mine)
Damn! Gus is pale under his shirt.
Aww! The bystanders applauded MJ! She really earned it, too.
Oh crap. It's down to Gus/Hera and Don/MJ. Please let it be a non-elim leg. Please?
Sidenote: I'm always impressed by those women who balance HUGE fuckin' loads on their heads. It's damn difficult, even if it doesn't weigh much.
YAY!!!!!!!!!! NON-ELIM!!!!!!!!!!
...wait. Several non-elimination legs? Are they not letting the teams know how many, in order to screw with long-term strategies? If so, good for them! Uncertainty always makes the game more interesting.
Well, that's it for today's episode. I wonder if/when the PTB are using the Fast Forwards?
